CLINIC NEWS
Welcome Christi Adair
We are excited to introduce our (already not so!) new Receptionist Extraordinaire Christi Adair. Christi moved to the Bow Valley from the flatlands of “the Sask”, where she came for one winter to learn how to snowboard. That was 12 years ago. While living in Banff, she developed an interest in the Tourism industry and obtained a diploma in Global Tourism and Marketing from Medicine Hat College. By the time she graduated the travelling bug had hit and she furthered her Tourism Education by joining a pilot program for an International Tourism and Marketing Diploma in Merida, Mexico. Once she returned to Canada, she decided to return to the mountains where she worked in various Travel Alberta Visitor Centres. After 5 years of telling people where to go and how to get there, Christi started working in the hotel industry, in events planning. Christi’s interest in the health and wellness industry began after taking a local community course in Reiki. After injuring her shoulder last fall, Christi became a testament to the benefits of Physiotherapy. Her genuine interest in people and their well being has led her to join our team. Now when you Contact Active Motion you'll know all about that helpful voice on the other end!
Welcome Sara Stronge
Sara joined the team as a practicum student in 2009 and never left. An Islander at heart, she made the trip to the mountains to experience the snow and outdoor adventures available in the Bow Valley. She holds a diploma in Rehabilitation Therapy Assistance in Physiotherapy from Medicine Hat College and brings a fresh perspective from a newly emerging field. Sara is currently working towards her Medical Exercises Specialist Certificate to help develop rehabilitative exercise programs for clients with musculoskeletal, cardiovascular and neurological disorders.
